Born in Brooklyn N.Y. and selling his First piece of artwork at age 11. A comic book mural for a comic store wall. Bud has not stopped producing artwork since, that was forty years ago.
Bud trained formally at the illustrious Art Students League of New York and In 1985 he began a full time career as a freelance artist for Marvel Comics, DC Comics and Neal Adams Continuity Studios under Neal Adams. This is not only where he perfected his craft, but also where he learned discipline, keeping deadlines, working under great pressure and how to grow creatively.
Bud said, “Being in the comic book industry for eighteen years taught me the dramatic cinema style which lends itself to my other areas of art, painting, photographic or otherwise.”
Bud worked as regular on The Amazing Spiderman, X-Man, X-Force, The F.F. ,The X-Men, Wolverine, Conan, Dead Pool, The Hulk, Blood of the Demon, The Titans, Big Hero Six, Dr. Strange, and a multitude of others.
In 2001, Bud was involved in a severe car accident. As a result, he started to paint in Oils and Watercolors seriously. His work has been showing at all the finer galleries all across the United States, including the Chelsea area in Manhattan N.Y. and San Francisco CA.
