Mike DeCarlo is coming to Garden State Comic Fest 2025
Mike DeCarlo entered the comics industry as an assistant to Dick Giordano. When Giordano became an editor at DC Comics in 1980, DeCarlo became an inker in his own right. DeCarlo inked the penciled artwork of George Pérez on "The Judas Contract" story arc in Tales of the Teen Titans with Giordano.

Keith Williams is coming to Garden State Comic Fest 2025
Keith, a comic book inker, enrolled in the School of Visual Arts in New York City from 1976 to 1980. Majored in Media Arts and studied under Will Eisner, the creator of the Spirit comic strip. He received a Bachelor of Fine Art. With the help of Marvel comic book artist and mentor Don Perlin, Keith started working for Marvel Comics in 1982 as a background inker.

Kevin Altieri is coming to Garden State Comic Fest 2025
Kevin Altieri is a television director of animated cartoons. Altieri's directorial works include episodes of C.O.P.S., Batman: The Animated Series, GI Joe Renegades, The Spectacular Spider-Man, Transformers: Rescue Bots, Stretch Armstrong and the Flex Fighters, and Stripperella.
He also was the Storyboard design, sequence director of Batman: Mask of the Phantasm

Emma Kubert is coming to Garden State Comic Fest 2025
Emma is a comic book creator, writer, artist, and teacher of the Joe Kubert School. After graduating from the Kubert School in 2018, Emma went on to work for many different companies including DC Entertainment, Marvel Comics, Image Comics, Tapas Entertainment, Dynamite Comics, and more! Starting her career as a layout artist for DC’s Teen Titans Raven graphic novel, she also served as an artist for Teen Titans Go!

Ryan G Browne is coming to Garden State Comic Fest 2025

Dan is a director and comic book artist who’s career as a storyteller started in late 1991 when Cable and Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld hired the 18 year old to join Extreme Studios and the newly formed Image comics.

Graham Nolan is coming to GSCF June 28-29th!
Graham is a Inkpot Award winning cartoonist best known for his long run on BATMAN in Detective Comics and as the designer and co-creator of the iconic Batman villain: BANE. Since 1983, Nolan has worked in the comic book industry for all the major publishers as a penciller, inker, writer and publisher as well as illustrating the syndicated newspaper strips, The Phantom and Rex Morgan, M.D. for King Features Syndicate.

Billy Tucci is coming to GSCF June 28-29th!
Billy is an award-winning cartoonist best known for his modern-day samurai fable, “Shi”. Through Billy’s Crusade Fine Arts, the multi-Eisner Award-nominated Shi has been printed in five languages sold more than 3 million comic books. He has also worked on a litany of projects for DC Comics’ including “Sgt. Rock”, “Harley Quinn”, “Flash Vs. Superman,” and “Batman.”

Ron Garney is coming to GSCF Summer 25
Over the course of his thirty five year career, Ron Garney has built a large fan following, illustrating some of the industry's greatest characters including Spider-Man, Hulk, Wolverine, Thor, X-Force, Captain America, Ghost Rider, Moon Knight, Silver Surfer, G.I. Joe and the Justice League of America, along with original series like Men of Wrath with Jason Aaron and acclaimed runs on Daredevil and Savage Sword of Conan at Marvel Entertainment.

Notable works include “Aquaman: Deep Dives”, “Trinity,” “Deathshroud,” “Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps,” “Green Lanterns,” “Titans,” “Vanish,” “Jirni,” and “All New Soulfire.”

Howard Mackie is coming to GSCF: Summer 25
Howard was dragged kicking and screaming into writing his first comic book (Iron Man #211) a few years ago and has been working in comic book publishing ever since. Chronicling the adventures of GHOST RIDER, SPIDER-MAN, THE X-MEN, X-FACTOR, GAMBIT, WOLVERINE, BATMAN, and countless other characters for Marvel, DC, and Archie Comics. His most recent work for Marvel was GHOST RIDER: RETURN OF VENGEANCE and the 2023 GHOST RIDER:: BLOOD AND VENGEANCE featuring his return to writing Danny Ketch as the Spirit of Vengeance.

Don McGregor is coming to GSCF: Summer 25
McGregor began his comic writing career in 1969, creating his own series DETECTIVES INC. as a fanzine that he took to the annual New York Comic Convention. It was after meeting publisher Jim Warren in hot debate at that convention that his comic writing career began, writing horror stories for Warren's illustrated horror line of CREEPY, EERIE and VAMPIRELLA.
After working as a proofreader, and eventually editor on several of MARVEL COMICS B&W line of comic/magazines, he was assigned to write the BLACK PANTHER in Marvel's JUNGLE ACTION comics. The "Panther's Rage" series was the first mainstream comic to have an essentially all-black cast of comics, in 1973. Before that, the few comics that did have black leads were normally surrounded by a white supporting cast.

Jeff Balke is an entrepreneur, writer, voice actor and upcoming producer/director of his own animations. He founded his own animation studio, Jeff Balke Studios, which focuses on 2D Animation (using what he calls, Digital Cel Animation). He’s created a number of characters, but is best known for Stanley and Friends (Stanley Squirrel, Natasha Squirrel, Chester, Baby Fang, Billy Billington and Bandit).

Louise Simonson is coming to Garden State Comic Fest 2025
Louise is a writer and editor best known for her work on comic book titles such as Power Pack, X-Factor, New Mutants, World of Warcraft, Superman: The Man of Steel, and Steel. In recognition of her contributions to comics, Comics Alliance listed Simonson as one of twelve women cartoonists deserving of lifetime achievement recognition.
