Alexandra Bowman is coming to GSCF Summer 2025

Alexandra Bowman is an award-winning cosplayer, illustrator, and political cartoonist newly located in NYC. Her work centers around Cats the Musical-inspired designs, particularly crossovers. She has created Jellicle versions of Puss in Boots, the Cheshire Cat, Garfield, Anna of Cleves from Six the Musical, and others. She was the 1st place winner of the BroadwayCon 2025 Cosplay Contest and trophied at BroadwayCon in both 2024 and 2023. She earned a 2023 Judge's Choice Award at Awesome Con, one of the largest fan conventions on the East Coast, as well as Station Unity 2024 at the Gaylord National. Alex's work takes inspiration from Cats' children's book origins and the hand-inked nature of John Napier's original designs. As an illustrator, she loves that Cats cosplay enables her to apply 2-D drawing techniques directly to a 5'7" canvas and bring her very favorite thing as an English master's degree holder--British anthropomorphic animals from children's literature--to life.
