Robert Franzese is a cosplayer from Long Island, New York. He started cosplaying at New York Comic Con in 2012 with his friends on a whim, never thinking he would do it again, let alone gain an online following because of it. What sets Robert’s style of cosplay apart from many others is that his skill does not lie in the creation of the costume itself, but brings the character to life through a combination of character acting, improvisation, and voice acting. After a video made by Robert’s friends was posted on YouTube in January of 2015, the video went instantly viral, plunging Robert into unfamiliar territory: fame. News reports started popping up all around the world about the cosplayer who brought a cartoon to life. Now, after six years and two relaunches, Robert is finally back on track and making all new videos on his new YouTube channel. He has made many friends along the way and hopes to continue to spread some sunshine around, at least for a little while longer.
