Enrique “Quique!” Lopez is coming to GSCF: Summer Edition!
“Quique!” is living proof that it is never too late to achieve your dreams. Born to Cuban parents in Puerto Rico, Quique was always fascinated with telling stories. Writing from early age, he discovered comics and the love affair never waned. He tried to break into the industry during the 4 color days of the 80s with not much success so he dedicated himself to working in the advertising as creative and account director for a number of prestigious agencies where some of his campaigns won awards and honors. He recently returned to his art roots and has begun inking again with the assistance of a number of professional artists as well as local and international artists including Billy Tucci, Zack Dolan, Keith Williams, etc.
He has comic stories published in Stupendous Magazine #1 and Horrendous Halloween Special 2020.
He will have four (4) stories in the upcoming Kickstarter anthology, Not So Fair Tales all written and inked by him and he will be teamed up with: Sigmund Torre (DC’s Raven) – Colors, Carlos Mangual (DC, Dynamite) – Letters, Matt Buttich (Daddy’s Beard) - Pencils, John Muller (Horrendous) – Pencils, Matt Parton (Horrendous) – Pencils. ‘
Recently He has a sketching/chat show, INKING WITH QUIQUE!, on Wednesdays 8pm via his Instagram and FB Art Page. Past guests included Keith Williams, Mark McKenna, Uko Smith, Sammy Castillo, Sigmund Torre, and more.
Some of his Future Projects include working on The Mighty Atomic Thunderbolt and Triple Threat Comic’s, “Soul Eraser”
